Ciertamente esto ha creado confusion y miedo en muchos de mis pacientes sobre que hacer si estan tomando productos como Prempro,Activella y Femhrt.El estudio demostro que el uso a largo plazo (mas de 5 anos) de estos productos no evitan las enfermedades cardiovasculares y aumentan el riesgo de cancer de mama,embolias y apoplegia en sus usuarios. Hay alternativas de tratamiento si usted desea no continuar el uso de estos medicamentos.Favor de hacer una cita para discutir con usted este importante tema personalmente. Recently a report on the use of combined estrogen replacement therapy during menopause appeared in the Journal of the American Medical Association. The report has caused a lot of concern and confusion among many of my patients. Basically the findings show that combination estrogen tablets (Prempro,Activella, Femhrt) do not prevent cardiovascular diseases,stroke or embolism and they increase the risk of development of breast cancer in long term users (over 5 years). If you are using HRT and wish to discontinue treatment there are alternative medications you can use. Please make an appointment so we can discuss this important health issue.
